Job Summary and Responsibilities
  • Our manufacturing team is hiring a Machinist / Machine Operator. A strong candidate must be able to work independently under the guidance of the General Manager to support our Noblesville, IN manufacturing site. This position will allow for a candidate to gain experience in other areas of polyurethane product manufacturing as well.

Required Competencies
  • Communication skills – Ability to communicate effectively with machinists, operators, and management.
  • Attention to detail – Familiarity with following work instructions for setup and operation. Ability to ask questions when needed. Follows all safety rules and requirements.
  • Inspection – General understanding of machine part drawings and familiarity with common inspection tools and gages.
  • Prioritization - Assesses which tasks or issues are most critical, organizes her/his resources and workload to ensure that the most important items are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Independence - Demonstrates ability to work on multiple priorities without direct oversight, knows when to ask for support and obtain other input and guidance.
  • CNC Lathe – Familiarity and understanding of CNC lathe programming, setup, troubleshooting and operation.

Preferred Competencies
  • Polyurethane Machining – Experience machining or processing polyurethane, plastic, or rubber parts.

Required Credentials
  • Technical Degree or 2 years demonstrated equivalent experience in CNC Machining.
  • At least one professional role demonstrates competency as a Machinist.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred credentials
  • 4+ years of CNC Lathe experience preferred.
  • Experience with CAD software, preferably Solidworks.

Typical Activities
  • Daily startup and general maintenance of CNC Lathes and VMC.
  • Part setup of CNC Lathes and VMC.
  • Load and unload heavy parts with overhead cranes.
  • Basic G-code and M-code programming for new parts or troubleshooting.
  • Perform first article inspection with common metrology tools to ensure products comply with company and customer standards.
  • Lathe and VMC operation to produce low-medium volume parts.
  • Raise quality concerns with management and troubleshoot to address issues.
  • Work with manufacturing and management team to identify possible areas for improvement machining or manufacturing processes.

  • Able to lift 20 pounds

Travel Requirement
  • Must have driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Noblesville, IN is the primary work location for this position
