Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer specializing in diamond grinding wheels to support customers across the tool & cutter, fine grinding, and electronic sectors. This role combines deep technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, providing application support, process optimization, and technical solutions while working remotely and traveling as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical application support for diamond grinding wheels in tool & cutter, fine grinding, and electronic manufacturing environments
  • Recommend wheel specifications, bonds, grits, and process parameters to optimize customer grinding operations
  • Conduct on-site and remote trials, demonstrations, and troubleshooting at customer facilities
  • Collaborate with sales, R&D, and manufacturing teams to develop tailored solutions for customer needs
  • Analyze customer processes and propose improvements for productivity, quality, and cost reduction
  • Support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Deliver technical training to customers and internal teams
  • Prepare technical reports, application documentation, and trial results
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required while maintaining a remote work structure

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with diamond grinding wheels
  • Strong background in:
    • Tool & cutter grinding
    • Fine grinding applications
    • Electronic and precision component grinding
  • Solid understanding of grinding processes, wheel selection, and surface finish requirements
  • Proven experience working directly with customers in a technical or applications role
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex grinding challenges independently
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally


Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical training (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, or similar)
  • Experience with CNC grinding machines and automation
  • Knowledge of superabrasives (diamond and CBN) and advanced bond systems
  • Exposure to international customers or global manufacturing environments
